ZENVIRO UNO PLUS filters have 3 different sections as follows: zeolite of granulation 1-2 mm, 200 gr, in the upper part, zeolite of granulation 3-5 mm, 200 gr, in the lower part and activated carbon of granulation 3-5 mm , 350 gr, in the middle, between the two zeolite stars.

It is made of polypropylene threads, wrapped around a PP core. They are used to remove sand, flakes and other suspended sediments and are suitable for a variety of domestic, technical and industrial applications. It has a filtration degree of 25 microns and a maximum flow of 2000 l / h.

Zeolite has a much larger absorption surface than other materials used in water filtration procedures. In the literature, zeolite is also called “molecular sieve”.

Due to the properties of zeolite, the filtered water passes between the zeolite granules and not next to them, achieving a purification by “washing” and a much higher contribution of absorption of harmful substances than in the case of other types of filtration sands.

The action of activated carbon is mainly explained on the basis of three mechanisms of action:

Chemical action: catalysis of the reduction reaction of some inorganic substances.
Physico-chemical action: the main advantage of activated carbon is the adsorption power, or the ability to retain, in its pores, different types of molecules.
Physical action: the ability of an activated carbon layer to perform mechanical filtration, with similar or even better results than those obtained by filtration with layers of sand.
Also, the effectiveness of activated carbon in promoting the biological processes of degradation of organic pollutants has been proven, having an action similar to that which occurs naturally when water infiltrates into the subsoil.

Activated carbon finds its countless applications in various fields, such as water and air treatment (including purification), sugar industry, winemaking and so on. Especially in water treatment, activated carbon water filters are used for:

reduction of chlorine (using the catalytic effect that favors the reduction of chlorine ions)
elimination of unpleasant odors and tastes (by adsorption of organic substances that cause them)
elimination of toxic substances (by adsorption) such as chlorinated solvents, insecticides, pesticides, detergents, etc.
filtration (using their filtering capacity)
Zeolites also eliminate microorganisms from water

The large surface of zeolites is accessible for the adhesion of microorganisms. This makes zeolites a suitable material as a biofilter for the removal of pathogenic microorganisms or for the cultivation of bacteria used in activated sludge at wastewater treatment plants.

The main advantage of zeolites compared to clay adsorbents is that zeolite has better hydraulic properties.

In modern deferrization and demanganization processes, zeolites can function simultaneously as an oxidation and filtration medium. Clinoptilolitic zeolite has a high capacity for some organic micropollants.

Zeolithic volcanic tuffs can be used as a coagulation adjuvant in the treatment of drinking water. Also, zeolitic volcanic tuffs can be used as a filter material in the water purification process having a high efficiency in retaining the organic load in the water compared to fast sand filters.

Due to the properties of clinoptilolitic zeolite, the filtered water with its help acquires a crystalline appearance.
